Virtual Internship @ L'Officiel Indonesia

A few weeks ago, I spent the long weekend for a trip to Jakarta. I did a few posts on how Indonesia's capital city fares in the fashion department, but it has actually been 3 years since I went there (read: way too long). Well to be frank, my primary schedule in Jakarta is purely for recreational purposes, but I do want to see how one of my favourite cities is doing. On the second day of the trip, I went to the office of L'Officiel Indonesia, the place where I have been doing a virtual internship for the last few months.

I have actually been doing the internship from February, but I didn't tell too many people about it (I just don't see why I have to broadcast it to the world, I'm naturally quite private.) The unique element on this internship is that I'm doing it virtually - one of the virtues of the days we are living in right now. Basically, they send me materials or tasks that I need to do, most of them usually on writing and articles. My past internship has helped me abundantly on this new internship, but I learn more here too. What I love about this internship is that I can be quite flexible with the timings, as long as I adhere to the deadline. There is also more fashion-focused material to work on.
The day I came to the office is the first time I will be meeting the team I have been working with, since we only have been corresponding through e-mails and Skype. The team is having a photoshoot on the coming Tuesday, but unfortunately I had to go back to school on that day (There's an exhibition to prepare). However, they asked whether I am willing to extend the internship period to July.
I said yes. So far, I was able to manage the workload. The articles I made get into the magazine and my portfolio. I find the internship quite enjoyable too.
So here we are. I will update the blogs with some of the works I had contributed for the magazine.
