A preview of the art direction I did for my project.
If this degree year is an RPG, the submission of Future Fashion Project was the final boss battle, and the others are side-quests that you have to finish off before you can get that 100% completion.
So that's one done. One big boss battle down.
Honestly, this Wednesday was one of the best days of the year. That feeling of accomplishing a tough challenge. I submitted my project at 2pm and it felt like a massive weight was lifted. This project was indeed one of the hardest, but also the most exciting one I had worked on.
On paper, the project I did was named Portfolio of Project Work for the module Future Fashion Project. The brand I developed for the project was called 'Sugarplum Lingerie'. Concept behind it was: a lingerie brand with trendy designs, great fit, and made with eco-friendly production and organic materials. By the way, I intend to make this one strictly in the 'student life' category.
To say I learned a great deal is an understatement. I opened up my worries and anxiety out in a previous post. Now, it felt like that moment has drifted far away. I had to learn not to give up, to keep fighting until the end. This project required me to put out the most all-nighters, compared to anything that came before it.
I've had some ups and downs during the tenure of the module. However, most times I was genuinely enjoying the whole process. Is that weird? Everyone else seems to be stressing out so badly. I was purely invested into what I do, and I tried to focus on producing a work that not only I'm proud of, but also something memorable to others.
I think I have to owe some gratitude to several parties. The first are my lecturers who guide me through the whole process, and motivate me in accomplishing this final project. Second is to everyone else who supported this project - whether you had helped me in the photoshoot, fill up my survey, or just sending a quick message supporting my fight. Special shoutout to Epik High's album We've Done Something Wonderful which was the main soundtrack of the all-nighters. As they say it: "As the sun must rise, even if the night fills up my empty heart."
Few things left now before graduation: the presentation for Futureproof and graduation exhibition.
Honestly not that ready for the real world, but bring it on anyway.
