Another trip down to Paragon to confirm everything. There isn't much urgent stuff for the production team to do at this stage. We did the initial mannequin count and check, and prepared the other things we would need (carpet, black cube shelving). However, we still don't know what sort of signage we are going to use for the exhibition. We looked at several options and noted down some contacts, but it needs approval from the venue.
Thankfully, when we met with Paragon, they were willing to lend us a similar signage that we proposed. So that's it for the signage issue.
There was also some minor final revisions on floor plans that we had to do.

This is the actual big day - the day of the setup. The whole team will go down to Paragon on 10pm (after closing hours) to set up everything.
During the final round of checking at noon, our lecturer noted that there were several production-related issues that we have overlooked. First, some of the mannequins have defects, and we would need to do something with it. Second, two of the four orchid vases are brown instead of black.
In a nutshell, we would need to do painting touch-ups.
The team went down to Dhoby Ghaut to buy some acrylic paint. We then painted the chipped areas of the mannequin, and spray-painted the vase. It feels like a job in a movie set.
The rest of the day consisted of packing and transporting everything from college to Paragon. The carpet was installed at the venue just before we arrange everything up. We put the black cube shelving in its designated locations, and sort out which mannequin (male or female) goes where. After that, we dressed the mannequins with the outfits from the designers. This seemed easy, but it took us a while to correctly assemble the installation. We finished the setup at 1AM.

Composition Exhibit's debut will be celebrated with an opening party. Today is the big day for the Marketing & Sponsorship team, but the whole class is here to help with whatever we can. We met up at the venue after our 4pm class ended.
The party started at 6.30pm. Guests and visitors were served canapes from Paul and enjoyed some refreshments as they observed the pieces by the designers. At 7.30pm, principal Joe Spinelli gave his welcoming speech. The opening party closes off at 8.30pm.
And it's a wrap for the opening!
