My Personality = My Future Career?

I see a lot of "You gotta do what you love" when I was trying to find what major suits me best. I chose this over medicine (hereditary & expectation) and business (most flexible and 'safe' course) after countless considerations. But obviously, there are times when I do think, am I in the right path?
I had a course called Career Studies back in my foundation days. There was this popular personality test called MBTI that is supposed to be a supporting info on what sort of work is suitable with our personality. I researched and found out it's not 100% psychological truth, but I thought it might be fine just not as something that sets career decisions in stone.
The result I got from the test at 16 Personalities was INFP-T (Mediator Personality). From a nutshell, it can be roughly broken down into:
Idealists with inner flame of passion
Look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue
Have a talent for self-expression
Creative and skilled with languages
Often drift to deep thought
Strengths: Open-minded, dedicated, hard-working
Weaknesses: Hate dealing with data, too idealistic, difficult to get to know
Sort of accurate, to be honest. Hmm, I kind of see where this is going...
Answer is out - writer/blogger. Also, the dealing with data thing might halt me from being a buyer, but that part is actually only 50% accurate for me - I like dealing with data that 'matters' to me (awfully abstract I know).
Actually, I was talking to a friend and he said that I should just pursue blogging. I heard a similar suggestion from my teacher.
So, has it been set in stone?
